When should FR clothing be replaced?

Depending on the type and quality of the materials used and how it was made, FR garments can last from 1 to 5 years under normal wear conditions. FR garments should be replaced when they are damaged beyond repair or when the material has thinned out to a point where it is or when it becomes contaminated with flammable substance that could not be removed. This can happen if the garments are not cleaned properly on a regular basis which can lead to a build up of combustible debri.
